Karen Garrett de Luna is a multi-disciplinary artist. Her passions include photography, dance, and aerial acrobatics. She holds a MAA in Visual Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design (Vancouver, BC) and BAs in Dance and Mathematics from the University of Washington (Seattle, WA). Karen currently resides in West Seattle where she grows vegetables, meditates, and works on making the invisible visible.
Currently she has two photography pieces in The Visual Metric at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Boston. The show opens 4 August 2017. She will be dancing in Buttcracker III — Even More Crack! at the Erickson Theater December 8–17, 2017 (tickets here) and has upcoming aerial performances at Versatile Arts in January and March 2018.
